What this site is

On Mission Jobs aggregates public DOS / DoW OCONUS jobs, CONUS federal and state openings, and public contract awards. We do not run a résumé bank and we do not host job-seeker CVs.

What we do not collect

• Résumés, CVs, or application packets
• Social Security numbers, passport scans, or medical files
• Clearance investigation packets
• Advertising or tracking cookies

Personal data and lawful basis

• Account (email, password, name, desk role, subscription status, watchlist) — contract, so we can run your desk (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Employer listings you submit — contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Weekly newsletter — consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Box is unchecked. You can withdraw any time.
• Contact form — legitimate interest / steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).
• Security logs (IP, browser, page) — legitimate interest in running a secure site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Payments (when Stripe is live) — contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).

Jobs and awards

Listings and awards are public information. That copy is not personal data of On Mission Jobs visitors.

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not set marketing cookies. No cookie wall is required for that session cookie alone.

Processors and transfers

When the site is published, hosting, database, email, and payment vendors (for example Vercel, Neon, a newsletter provider, Stripe) will process data on our instructions. If those vendors are outside the EEA/UK, we will use an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses. Data processing agreements will be in place before go-live.

Retention

• Account and watchlist — until you delete the account
• Newsletter — until you unsubscribe
• Contact notes — until the request is closed, then up to 12 months
• Security logs — up to 90 days unless a security incident requires longer

Your rights (GDPR)

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and you may object to legitimate-interest processing. Newsletter consent can be withdrawn as easily as it was given — email ops@oscarmikejobs.com or use the unsubscribe link in each issue once mail is live. You may lodge a complaint with your EU/EEA supervisory authority or the ICO (UK).

Children

On Mission Jobs is for adults seeking contracting work. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
